I'm glad there remains at least one thing I can do more easily than you! I think you have the same irrational fear of unlocking doors and cutting up mangos than I have of figuring out my cell phone and my digital camera. This is why we complement each other so well!

David, I'm the same way..... I cant get em to work either.... but mangos are a specialty of mine, and highly prized...if you put me in a room with one of those locks and some mangos, when I finally do get it unlocked there will be no more mangos!

Dave- theres really no secret, they are just a mess-worth it- but a mess and there is going to be more waste than what you would like to see.... I cut down, paralell to the seed so you have a big wedge. Cut that in half (maybe even thirds)so you have something small enough to work with. Skin it with the knife by putting the skin side to the cutting board and then run the knife between the skin and the meat- puts thepressure to the skin and board and away from the meat. then you can cut the two side pieces away from the seed and suck on the seed for a while. I love Mango, you just have to accept that there going to be more waste than with other fruits. They are sliipperty little devils, no?

Gewels - thanks so much for the father's day wish! I've heard from both kids already this morning too. And, we think Dylan might be getting a little better - we'll see.

It's not called a Fob is it?
My sister and I used to bug each other when we were kids by using a bobby pin to open the bathroom door on each other! Then, at college, there was the old credit card trick!

Ruth - FOB - a friend of Bill's. Are you trying to insult our former president? :-) Kidding aside, I followed up on your suggestion and looked up FOB on my Mac dictionary and on wikipedia and I don't think that's it. Still a mystery.
